How were you recruited?
My dear friend who I hadn’t seen for sometime, cornered me at at picnic. Although she was super nice about it, she was so pushy and I fell for it. (So did my husband.) Actually we talked MK the entire day and I missed out on visiting with all the other people there. That should have been a red flag!
What about Mary Kay appealed to you most?
What appealed to me was the customer base should be so huge that I would have them knocking my door down for product, and of course the $$ involved and the ability to give my job up. etc.etc.
Tell us about one of your most memorable or embarassing situations while in Mary Kay
I was at a facial class, a lady got a small bit of foundation on her pants, and it bleached them out. Do we wonder why we have to only use white wash cloths at our classes? I called my sales director about it (in March) and she said she would get back to me. I’m still waiting for her call! Also MK corporate hasn’t returned my calls either!!
What did you learn from your Mary Kay experience?
I had been duped a little bit, but not for long, I plan on getting rid of what I have and running as fast as I can in the other direction!
What are you doing now? Working full or part time? Working from home? etc.
Stay at home mom, still selling MK but certainly not breaking my neck over it.
