How were you recruited? Tell us all the details.
One of my friends had a skin care class, and when I couldn’t attend, my now sales director called me to set up an one on one facial. She came to my home and we truly had a wonderful time, at the end she gave me a hotline number, and told me that if I called in the next 24 hours I would get a free product (which I am still waiting for by the way). I called in and thought that it was a good opportunity, so I signed up.
Do you have a memorable experience from your time in Mary Kay? If so, please tell us about it.
I only held a few classes, and quickly decided that selling wasn’t for me or my family. I truly enjoy the products and will continue to use them, and recommend them to other women.
What are you doing now?
Still working at my full time job, which I was working at before all this happened. I am much happier now with my Tuesday nights back now that I don’t have to attend training meetings, and much happier that I don’t have to worry about making calls and trying to set up classes.

Selling Mary Kay was not a bad experience at all for me. I made some dumb decisions… say hello to my $3600 inventory! But, it also opened up some doors for me. When I was trying to find the money to get the inventory, the company that helped me was able to also help me in refinancing my house! Which was a great event and actually made it so I didn’t need the extra income any longer! I also got to meet dozens of exceptional ladies and have fun doing it. I am just not the selling type. I hated making calls, harassing my friends, going by a script and giving up hours of time with my family just to make the business work.
