My ordeal with "You Want Pink Cosmetics" has ended and I finally did get my money but not without many, many emails and a very long lengthy phone call with first one of her people and when he couldn't handle things I finally talked to the Owner herself. I still say I didn't get all the money I was entitled to but I settled with them and then reported the company to the Better Business Bureau in Florida. If you are smart you won't liquidate with this company!! A better solution and company to deal with is: Touch of Pink Cosmetics in Ottawa, Il. They were efficient, quick to pay out and I met the owner personally when I delivered my products directly to her home as She lives an hour away from me. Amy was very nice and I would recommend her to any former MK Consultant who needs to recoup at least some of the money she has sunk into MK products.

John,
I too am glad your wife has had positive influences. I am wondering how long she has been in now? Please be careful that she doesn't order more than what she sells! Products change so quickly that you are stuck with stuff on your shelves that aren't in the books anymore, and thus, very difficult to sell. Even product packaging changes fairly quickly, then, bam-o, you've got all old stuff! Feel free to look around in the forum for ideas and pitfalls to avoid! Best of luck to the Mrs. !

John,
Glad to hear that for her sake... there is nothing better than gaining confidence in oneself! ... Just do not let her become to caught up and feel she "owes" any of the woman anything! NO INVENTORY unless orders and cash is in her hands! =)

Well I am no expert however recently I witnessed a woman begin her journey into the pink fog. She is a very sweet but timid, woman who speaks broken english. Her lack of skills speaking english have prohibited her from having the confidence to get a so called real job. She was invited to a pink studio and there she was embraced by the woman selling MK. They gave her a facial and coerced her into signing up as a consultant. Its been two weeks of intense training in not only MK products but in self belief, dressing professionally, public speaking, sales techniques and motivation. All I can say is MK has 100% turned this timid woman, with no self confidence 180 degrees. This woman has blossomed into a confident, motivated, sales machine. I have been in sales my entire life at 2 fortune 100 companies and have managed over 100 sales people selling over 5 billion dollers worth of products and I can honestly say I have never seen better training. What happens from here I dont know but if nothing else my wife's Mary Kay experience thus far is nothing less than fabulous.
