Quoting Cynthia,
"thats $1166.66 each for 4 months making that 291.66 per month.) it does not state that they can not contribute more. if i have women on my team only selling 291.66 a month im asking myself whats the point in doing MK if your not trying to sell but thats my opinion)"
I have a friend who's been in MK 5 years, in DIQ too many times to count, a 2 X car driver, has had up to 20 team members. They will NOT all order EVERY month.
Plus, wouldn't they need to sell $ 600 per month to make the estimated $ 300 month order? That's selling an average of $ 150 per week or basically EVERY team member doing 1 SCC per week, every week. Never happened for me, but I wish you luck.

Dear Cynthia;

Shame on me for posting sonmany times in a row. Can't help myself.

Posting figures to 'educate' us is a joke. Do you have ANY idea how many long-time directors are on this site. Car-driving directors?

Did you think you were 'educating' us?

Let's see............hmmmmmmmmmmm.........living the MK dream.

Sit on floor.
Open Starter Kit.
Dumpt Starter Kit over head.
Revel and play like a 3 yr. old in all those goodies.

Hope that tickles your fancy, cuz' that's the closest you'll ever get to Nirvana in MK.

Admit it, as humans we love excess. When you buy your starter kit and then, heaven forbid, inventory, you get so excited to see all those lovely things filling your home. But it doesn't take long for it to begin to 'mold.' Funny how today's thrill becomes tomorrow's vomit.

Dear Everyones So Negative & Mean;

Sweetie, if I required immediate brain surgery and had to choose between a Dr. who did 12 yrs. higher education, internships out the wazoo, etc., etc., but had not done even one surgery, versus and old country Dr. who has done hundreds of brain surgeries but never got past the 8th grade - who do you think I'd go with? The country Dr., hands down.

In other words, take your 'business plan' and shove it! Hubby and I stepped out and started a constr. bus. No education, just guts and drive. It has been very successful for 30 years and counting. (neither one of us got past the 12th grade) I get a laugh at young college grads who come to us and expect us to hire them b/c they went to school and they have a plan make our business 'work.'

Newsflash college/business plan idiot: give me an old boomer carpenter any day who will roll us his sleeves and do what it takes to get it done.

And btw, this is 'our' business. We advertise any which way we want. We will sell whenever and to whomever we choose.

I would suggest you step into the real world.

Thanks for the well wishes Tam,
I took the time to read things before i just jumped up and wanted to be a GA. heres what i came up with for the GA program when i signed my agreement. Im simply breaking downthe figures.

You may qualify as a Grand Achiever in one, two, three or four months, based on when you achieve the following:

$18,000 combined personal/team wholesale Section 1 production. (12+me= 13. thats 1384.61 total divide that by 4.= 346.15 per person each month. Sounds realistic to me.)

12 active personal team members

You may contribute up to $4,000 in personal wholesale Section 1 production toward the total $18,000 requirement. (d0es not say i HAVE to contribute 1,000 a month)

Your team must contribute a minimum of $14,000 wholesale Section 1 production toward the total $18,000 requirement. ( thats $1166.66 each for 4 months making that 291.66 per month.) it does not state that they can not contribute more. if i have women on my team only selling 291.66 a month im asking myself whats the point in doing MK if your not trying to sell but thats my opinion)

You must have a minimum of $4,000 combined personal/team wholesale Section 1 production each month of the qualification period while maintaining five or more active personal team members. (thats where it gets tricky after you "qualify" say half drop out you can keep going as long as you have 5 or more on your team.... and yes i asked this question. now say if you were able to keep your 12 plus myself thats 307.69 minimum a month, but say if you only have 5 plus myself stakes get higher thats 666.66 minimum a month)
Just wanted to throw out some figures... i believe its not hard to get the 1st car... after that either you have a really good sells team to make it to ISD or your front loading. again i just want to share my thoughts on the matter.

Cynthia,

I sincerely wish you luck with MK. You would have to have ALL 14 ordering $ 250 EVERY month. Plus you ordering $ 1,000 per month.

Trudie, I understand where you guys why your upset. im not here to bash i just wanted to speak a lil of my min. I take it as a stepping stone for me. i look at you alls stories and learn from them. Yes im new to Mary Kay i signed my agreement March of this yr. (2009) one of my good friends mom has been in Mary Kay for a few yrs now. She offered the "Opportunity" to me and i declined. over the years i spent my time researching pros and cons of MK, i been on all the anti mary kay sites and i made my mind up from there.
I personally believe there is money in MK. Thats my opinion. Its in sells. not recruiting. Plain and simple you sell you get money. thats how i look at it. Im not looking to get past the "Grand Achiever" status. thats my personal goal. 12 recruits 18k in 4 months is not bad. im not going to lie and decive to get there either. I personally believe there is no money in being a director. yea you get the fancy car and stuff but thats were the problems start and money goes poof... My friends mom makes enough profit from selling to pay her mortgage, bills around the house, food, clothes and extras for family vacations and stuff. She is driving the 1st MK car. and seems pleased at where she is. She doesnt go to Seminar (cept 1 time) and she goes to the weekly meetings maybe twice a month. She has a strong team of about 14 women and she only places orders when she needs them.
I ordered product on wednesday evening and it was on my door step by friday afternoon. So me having inventory is unnessary. Im again just trying to understand the other side. im not trying to stir any hard feelings or nothing i just want to set an example for my team when i grow one. i wont try and hide these sites from them. Im simply trying to see the other side.
