OMG - this is a BIG PET PEEVE OF MINE!
First, we are A$$UMING there are $ALE$!

I found so many consultants were giving huge discounts to everyone just to maintain their min. ordering status so they could purchase at 50% that I had EXTREME difficulty in finding customers to purchase at retail!

THEN, EXPEN$E$! Now, remember, when you quote time spent on SCC at a sales meeting, you only quote the actual time there!

You don't count the time it took to make the calls to get the SCC, the time for pre-profiling calls, the time spent packing up and un-packing, drive time, time spent placing an order and/or unpacking an order from the company, delivery time, time spent getting the orders ready, time & money spent adding your "new customers" to your PCP, time & money spent on gifts/samples/product used during the SCC, gift with purchase items or hostess benefits.

Unless you carry your entire "store" with you, (which would take more time to load and unload), you don't count your cost of GA$ to and from SCC and for delivery when quoting in front of a sales meeting!

Oh, don't forget the cost of the "training" and gas to and from! If guests are presents, and shouldn't they always be present?, then there is cost of the "gift" that IBC's must provide. Now if you are a big girl and wear your "big girl panties" you should pick up your guest and bring her with you, so that's extra GA$ money too!
