How were you recruited?
My best friend was and still is a Director with Mary Kay. She never pressured me and really only asked me once to join her team and I said no. I was a very unhappy Assistant Property Manager and final said enough is enough and joined.
What about Mary Kay appealed to you most?
The MONEY, free car, personal growth, flexibility, being my own boss, making life time friends, being able to go as far as I would like to go. There is no stopping to how much I want to jump the latter and succeed in this business. There are endless possibilities!
Tell us about one of your most memorable or embarassing situations while in Mary Kay
I have so many memorable moments I would love to share. My first is me being able to go on stage in front of hundreds of woman and stand proud, knowing I have accomplished my goals I have set forth to achieve. It’s a wonderful feeling! Another is being able to help women everyday look and most importantly, feel beautiful. Being able to share this AWESOME opportunity to other women is why I am a Beauty Consultant.
What did you learn from your Mary Kay experience?
I have learned so much since I have been with this company. And I am still learning something new everyday. Mary Kay is a company that cares about their employees and their customers. It is and has been the best company I have worked for!
What are you doing now? Working full or part time? Working from hom? etc.
I work full time in Mary Kay. I am currently a star recruiter and about to be in DIQ by the end of January 2008 and earn my first consultant car, which is the Pontiac G6.
Additional Comments
My goal is to become a Director and drive FREE Cadillac’s. It’s to share this wonderful opportunity to women every where! To help someone have a better life in all aspects!

That’s awesome, it’s amazing what you can do when you put God first, stay focused, and stay away from negative people. There is always good, the bad & the ugly in every situation, especially when you are dealing with people who don’t share your vision. I wish you much success on your journey and remember Mary Kay is not for the chosen but for the few who choose.

Uh huh.
This is one of zillions of cutesy little platitudes they teach Directors to dish out.

Like Kassandra said, staying away from the negative people. Negative people just can’t seem to be happy for those that are doing good for themselves, such as admin. Good job on going DIQ!

That is, admin can’t seem to be happy for you.

If Rachelle wants to be a Consultant that’s her decision.
What I do care about, however, is that she have all the information about this so-called business.
She’s already plunked down $5000 and that was, unfortunately, a big mistake. She’d be better off with a part-time job, where you don’t pay someone else, you actually get paid yourself.
This site isn’t about keeping people in the Pink Fog, which she definitely still is in, it’s about women making smart, informed choices. Unless you just want an expensive hobby, I don’t think MK is a smart choice.

What is “amazing and awesome” to be is how materialistic some of these women are! Does not sound like “God first” to me. Sounds like money first and God second but only if he gets me money.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with wanting material things. It’s the world we live in. You only have one life. ENJOY IT! No, things won’t necessarily make you happy, try living on the streets with nothing. See how much you appreciate your “material goods” then.

No, having things is the American way but using other people to get crappy prizes is pathetic. We all want nice cars and homes but to put others in financial chaos to get it is not only sad but against Mary Kay’s precious Golden Rule. So much for lifting other women up.

Truth is not negative! Those of us who are not fogged up realize that. I hope she does well; however, I do wonder how much debt Rachel has acquired with the new color changes and how her DIQ is going?

Yes, a couple of questions.
Now that Rachelle’s been in MK a year, how much of that $5000 wholesale inventory did she sell?
How is her DIQ going?

OMG – I totally missed the reference to the FREE car the first time I read this!
Rachel, I certainly hope you read more on this site! These are NOT free cars! There are quotas for you and your team to meet for you to be able to “earn the use of” a MK car!
