A Director Called Me For Two Months…

First name or nickname: Fed Up With MK

Date you joined MK: Nov 2005

Highest level attained: Consultant

Date left company: Active…but calling to get the “Form”

Initial Inventory purchased: $600.00

Brief story of where / how you were recruited:
I bought an item from a lady who in turn gave my name and number to her director saying I was a wonderful person and could see me as a consultant. The director kept calling me for 2 months, after telling her I just wasn’t a sales person and that I couldn’t do this she kept insisting that I could. She even said I could just sign up even if it was to just buy for myself. So finally after 2 months she called and ask if we could meet for coffee so I did…..well I sign my agreement and told her I’d get back to her. After thinking about it I gave in and sent my money in for my starter kit. She never once mentioned that I’d have to buy $200 of stuff every 3 months. Boy I wish I had of found this site before I did that!!!!

What thing(s) appealed to you most about the MK opportunity:
I’ve used MK for 20 years and love their products so thought I’d get products at wholesale and figured I’d get lots of women who would love the products also and I’d make some extra money and work on my time.

What was your most embarrassing moment as a consultant or a story you’d like to share:
I’ve not had any embarrassing moments as a consultant really. When I first started going to the meetings I would dress in dress slacks and a nice shirt and was told that I needed to dress the MK way for the meetings. Some of the other ladies would come in jeans and tennis shoes and even flip-flops, now that’s the way I do dress…haha…

What are you doing now?
I’m getting ready to call MK and send my products back that I don’t use before my year is up. My husband and I have a business that we have worked out of our home for the past 20 years so I’m his secretary.

What are the main things you learned from your experience?
That I need to ask more questions before signing an agreement.
